An in-depth study of AA Spectrometry. Three modules plus an exam:

1) Atomic Spectroscopy Theory.
Subjects include: electromagnetic radiation, line intensity, line shapes.

2) AA Instrumentation.
A detailed study of the component parts of an AA instrument. Topics presented: hollow cathode lamps, flame atomization, electrothermal atomization, autosamplers, background correction, monochromators and detectors.

3) Analysis Using AA.
Explores AA analytical techniques: Sample preparation, ashing, fusion, hydride generation, interferences, quantitative determinations, calibration, standard additions and example applications.
