Anhydrous

A product is said to be anhydrous when it does not contain any unbound water, e.g. water of crystallisation.

For example, when lithium sulphate monohydrate (Li₂SO₄, H₂O) is dehydrated then anhydrous lithium sulphate (Li₂SO₄) is obtained.
