Potentiometric titration
A method of titrating in which the equivalence point is determined by measuring changes in potential of the solution as the volume of added reagent (the titrant) increases.
It is an alternative to a titration employing an indicator, especially in situations where the reaction produces coloured products or there is a precipitate.
Equivalence point
End point
The equivalence point of a titration, sometimes known as the stoichiometric point, is the point where the stoichiometric quantity of the reagent in the burette has been added to the solution in the flask.
The quivalence point corresponds to the "end point" in titrations using indicators.
