Potentiostat
Electronic instrument used to impose a defined potential on a measuring electrode compared to a reference electrode whatever the concentrations of the reagents surrounding the measuring electrode, i.e. "static potential". For example, a potentiostat is used in electrolysis and electrogravimetry.
