This self-paced course explains the concepts and practices of troubleshooting HPLC systems. It covers typical situations encountered by HPLC users, such as blockages and leaks, component malfunctions, baseline and peak distortions, extra and negative peaks, retention time and sensitivity issues, preventive maintenance and repairs. A quiz and a glossary of HPLC terms are also included.
The goal of the program is "to simplify the process of locating and correcting problems in HPLC systems".
